Morettino is an authentic story of love for coffee, born in 1920 in Palermo, in the heart of the Mediterranean. For four generations, it has passed down the ancient art of roasting, in accordance with tradition and with an ethical, sustainable vision of the coffee supply chain. For more than a hundred years, it has produced handcrafted, slow-processed coffee, with deep respect for the raw material, the consumer, and the environment. The Morettino selections are created through careful attention and direct selection of the finest raw materials in the world, carried out directly on plantations in tropical countries through collaboration with small producers, respecting local communities and the work of those in the fields. The slow and ecological roasting process, together with the skillful maturation phase, enhances the organoleptic characteristics typical of each terroir and gives life to fine coffees with unique aromas. For about 30 years, the Morettino family has also been pursuing an experimental project for cultivating coffee plants in Sicily — a dream that has led to the creation of the first native Sicilian coffee.
